In a room of people that we asked “do you ever wake up and on a Monday morning and think, I don’t want to go into work today, I wish I could just go and see GODS beautiful world”, almost everyone raised their hands. We would have done the same. Realising that once Lara starts high school we have to stay put and with the words in our head being “If we don’t do it now we never will” we decided to do this and see where it takes us.
For many years we have been blessed with corporate roles that have not only taken us around the world to some fascinating places but have allowed us to also enjoy other countries in our own time that have reached out to us with a fascination to visit them.
When traveling for work we have enjoyed little time to explore but have always left with a desire to come back and spend quality time understanding, respecting and being part of global cultures. A desire that we want to return and share with our children, especially Lara (11) who starts high school in 18 months’ time and has already experienced living in three countries and traveling with us whenever she can.
Countries we have lived in are:
USA, UK, New Zealand and Australia.
Countries we have visited but not spent that much time in are:
Germany Russia, Oman, Israel, UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Canada, Aruba, Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Brazil, Egypt, Italy, France, Spain, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam
